They only appear to be cheaper when you don’t include any shipping charges. Play.com are only a couple of quid more (for the blue linux 512MB 8GB model at least) with free shipping. This will probably be the better deal for most people, especially those in outlying areas of the UK perhaps (don’t know if dabs still apply surcharges for ‘highlands and islands’ or not).
Only some of the models are due in 1-2 days, others including the models with XP Home are not due in for 1-2 weeks
DABS have free delivery for any orders over £99
DABS have just bumped my delivery date again for the XP 1Gb model. Stock now not expected until 27/08/08…….
Beware with Dabs, their after sales service is terrible. For a couple of quid extra microwarehouse sell them and their after sales services is always excellent. Well worth paying the tiny amount more.
