In the US, here. I can’t seem to find the 120 gig Linux version available from /anyone/ here in the US. What gives?

I don’t so much care about the hard drive tho 120 gig isn’t bad, as I might replace it anyway, but I want a standard SATA interface, not some weird ZIF/LIF thing.

It’s gotta be Linux, even tho I’ll be replacing it with Gentoo, which I already run on my desktop/workstation, because I’m not supporting MS, period. That’s actually why I haven’t bought one yet, because I can’t find any of the 120 gig Linux versions /to/ buy, original or lowered price either one.

I also want the blue case, but that’s negotiable. At this point, I’ve almost decided it’s not going to happen until the Sept/Oct update in which they’re supposed to roll out the 6-cell as standard, which /would/ be nice, but I’d buy the 3-cell version now if I could /find/ it with the SATA interface and Linux, here in the US, but I can’t.

It’s frustrating!

Hmmm, PC World are still saying “Order in progress” for me despite them still claiming to have stock. Let’s hope they flip to “Shipped” pretty quckly as my wife’s birthday is fast approaching!

Found the A150L I wanted at NCIXUS.com, US$350 + shipping/insurance, came to $390, total (incl. FedEx PriorityAir shipping and additional insurance).

I think the only reason they offered it in the US, however, was that they’re a CA distributor that happens to have a US warehouse and website as well. No normal US dealers seem to carry the A150L, only the MS version, monopolist indeed!

Duncan, what does “English/French Bilingual Keyboard” mean?

I got one from a Dixons store (now known as “Currys Digital”) on Saturday.

£199 and no waiting around for delivery. Perfect.

Pfft! PCWorld says my online order with the discount code is ‘Cancellation/non acceptance in progress’.

Not impressed :-(
