Acer Inc’s new Aspire One netbook ranked as the No. 2 best-selling notebook at Amazon.com on Wed. on strong demand for the ultra portable device.
Acer in Aug. discounted the Windows XP model to a $349.99 price point in an aggressive price cut to move into the fast-growing netbook business.
The Acer Aspire One, which retails for $349.99, includes a 1.6 Ghz Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, and Windows XP. The product weighs 2.2 pounds and yields a scant 8.9-inch widescreen.
