“The Aspire One A150X basically uses the same frame as the Aspire One A110L. It is still currently the smallest of the Atom-based UMPCs at 170 millimeter (width) by 249 mm (depth) by 29 mm (height). Without its battery, this model weighs only 0.7 kilograms. It becomes heavier when its main 6-cell 52000 mAh (milliampere/hour) lithium ion battery is plugged in. The battery is actually the single heaviest object in the laptop, about half a kilogram, and it juts out of the back of the unit. Despite the aesthetically unappealing look, the batteries extend the operating period of the Aspire One.”

AA1 USERS! I didn’t know where to post this so here it is! I spoke to acer today and they said they would fix the problems(fan noise and screen flickering) a lot of us are having for free. Tech support said that the hard drive is likely overpowering its self causing the fan to run constantly and putting a drain on the screen. I have heard of others sending theirs in with no fix when it came back but I am going to try it because the explanation of my problem seemed reliable. Also, FYI replacing memory DOES NOT void warranty. I didn’t know where to post this so I put it here.
just to clarify, when you say memory do you mean ram? so upgrading ram doesnt void warranty?
i thought the new bios fixed the fan problem tho?
thanks for the post aswell collar2
