Acer updates its Aspire One 522 and 722 models – new AMD C-60 APU (CPU & Graphics processor all in one)

Acer has updated its Aspire One 522 and 722 netbooks with AMD’s C-60 APU. The dual-core C-60 APU works at 1.0GHz with 1.33GHz Turbo and features Radeon HD 6290 graphics.

The Aspire One 522 is a 1.3kg heavy 10.1-incher with a 1280×720 LED backlit screen, 1GB of memory, 320GB HDD, 6-cell battery and of course, AMD’s C-60 APU. The rest of the specs include 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, VGA and HDMI outputs, 0.3MP webcam and a card reader.

The slightly larger Aspire One 722 is a 11.6-incher with the same AMD C-60 APU, LED-backlit 1366×768 screen, 2GB of memory, 320GB HDD, and same specs as its smaller Aspire One 522 sibling.

The Aspire One 522 comes packed with Windows 7 Starter 32-bit OS and is currently listed at €277, while the the bigger Aspire One 722 comes with windows 7 Home Premium OS and starts at €295,98.
