Memory/RAM Compatibility List - NEED USER INPUT

Postby Davidcowling » Thu Jul 31, 2008 12:42 pm

Post here if you have upgraded the RAM in your AA1.

*MOD EDIT: Need to know what RAM works in What models, OP will be updated to reflect this.

Example Post:
Code: Select all
RAM: Kingston - KVR800D2S5/2G - 2Gb
Confirmed Working in AAO D250-0Bk

Say whether the RAM you used in the upgrade works or not and the manufacturer and model name of the module.

Should make things easier for other people who want to upgrade their ram and are unsure as to what to buy.

Either post your findings here to be confirmed by other users before they're added to the list, or PM Swarvey to add them to an "Unconfirmed" list. Would prefer at least 3 "confirmations" from 3 users first before adding to the list.

I will attempt building an eBay / Google search into each model number to assist in finding suppliers.

Unconfirmed Working RAM List

===========================================================================================================================

This post is being revived. By that I mean REVIVED. As of tomorrow 27th Feb 2010 AEST, all non-related posts will be deleted, only posts SPECIFICALLY mentioning working modules, with model numbers or applicable description will be kept, and added to the list. Each model AAO is different, this new post will reflect this. Not ALL models of memory will work with ALL aao models.

P.S I'm not completely up-to-speed on model numbers, so if I do something stupid RE the model numbers of the AAO let me know. Eg if a ZG5 is actually an A150 ZG5, let me know LOLs I haven't had to touch anything but my own D250 in quite a while. :oops:

Kingston KVR667D2S5/1G (667Mhz, 1GB , 1.8v, SODIMM) not working. I installed and when in BIOS SETUP the PC is still showing 512MB . ¿What im doing wrong? ¿Need to touch something in the BIOS SETUP?. Could be that 667Mhz memory is not supported? In normal PC if you plug 667Mhz and your memory slot is at 533 the RAM works well but at 533Mhz offcourse.

677MHz RAM does not work. The motherboard will not underclock the RAM.

There are at least two reports (here and here) that indicate otherwise.

If you'd like to discuss that further, let's take it to another thread so we can keep this one clean.
