this may be a dumb question, but is this from the RC deal? what i'm trying to get to, is if I install this, will I still get warnings from microsoft saying that I need a registered version of windows, and the 2 hour automatic shut-down that I read about? I just googled "windows 7 netbook", and microsoft is actually coming out with a netbook version, which I think is pretty cool, but when will the legitimate copy be available, how much, and how to install without using an external drive? I think microsoft should ship out flash drives that has the "w7n" loaded on it, and when you install it, have it automatically delete part of it, so you can still have a back-up, in case something goes hay-wire, while still preventing illegal copies to be made. But I guess they will just have the download available online, and you would put it on a flash drive yourself, and proceed from there. Or, as luck would have it, W7n would only be on new netbooks, so the option of installing it on a current system is out of the question (making sure everybody goes out any buys a new netbook to have the latest and greatest = cha-ching!)

Thanks a lot. I'm gonna test it out. I currently have the full Windows 7 installed and it locks up every once in a while. Maybe this will be a little more friendly to my 8GB Aspire.

No, it's just some one who have too much time and removed some components from the RC or a cracked copy of other builds. It'll expire next year and start to restart sometimes in march.
