I love these things!! More designs than any other "skin" site. Are they available in the US?? I contacted the company and they will ship to the US, but the cost is high - about $40 price plus shipping.

You can try DecalGirl. They have vinyl laptop skins there that are very high quality (as well as skins for many other devices). Custom size laptop skins are only $24.99 + $4.40 S/H. I've never used their skins for a laptop, but I have one on my Wii, and had one on my PSP (until I traded it in), and they are fantastic.

I got one. It seems to be about 1 mm to short on the height and 2-3mm to short widthwise. Other than that it's easy to put on and to peel up when you spot an air bubble !!!!
What would be nice is if they did the 'legs' which act as the hinge part but I don't know if their cutout machine would be able to cope.

I also get one. Trying to customize a skin with the ACER logo, I obviously cheated in selecting the correct resolution. So I was contacted by the designer of Lapjacks instantly. He did the update for me. Today the skin arrived via Air Mail in Germany, only 12 days after doing my initial order. It is really great. The application of the skin was quite easy. I used a cardboard in the size ofthe skin for pressing it to the computer. To avoid fingerprints after cleaning the surface of the aspire top, I used those cheap one-way surgery cloves. After all my AAO looks really great. The service and the price of he skins is quite well. Thanks for the hint.

Lapjacks are way cool but spendie for those of us in the colonies. Over here we have DecalGirl and they have some cool stuff and they make Asus Eee skins but no AAO's. So I asked them ....................QUESTION: I see that you have Asus Eee PC skins but how about skins for the (soon to be as popular) Acer Aspire ONE? The top on an AAO is approx. 9" wide and 5.5" deep. Every review I have read on the AAO makes mention of it's ability to attract fingerprints (i know mine does). It would appear you have a ready made market. I LOVE your products and will probibly bite the bullet and order a "custom" sized one but give making AAO skins some thought.

Another alternative for USA consumers is a company called 3ACP Ultimate Skins. http://www.3acp.com They have skins pre-sized for the Aspire 1. You can get an outside skin by itself for $12, the full set costs a little more.
